Authors in Schools

Wood St. Collective and Libros de Luna invite children' book authors to host workshops at CPS elementary schools and donates a classroom set of books to each participating class.
As part of the author visit, students are asked to write book reports that compare their life experiences with the author. Our aim, by introducing students to exemplary role models, is to inspire youth to read and write creatively. Our first two participating authors are:
