Program CoordinatorIsa is a Data Scientist by trade, and a graduate of Amherst College in Massachusetts where he played DIII Basketball and majored in Computer Science. He has called Chicago home for most of his life, living in Hyde Park and going to middle/high school at Lindblom Math and Science Academy in Englewood. He currently serves as the Program Coordinator for Wood St. Collective.
His experience serving the community of Englewood goes back to the summer of 2021 where he joined the Growing Citizen Leaders program at Imagine Englewood If. This cohort of youth worked on a gun violence awareness campaign alongside community leaders. The following year, he returned to the same program to work on a fentanyl awareness campaign, highlighting an increasingly dangerous threat to the health of our communities. In early 2024, he was invited back to IEi to work as the Computer Lab Manager. He currently works there as the Data Systems Coordinator, using his skills with data and computer science to improve the quality of the organization's services and reporting capabilities. Isa continues to manage the computer lab, while also teaching tech classes for elementary school students and working on the frontlines by handing out resources to community members |
