Nathan Haefelin
Nathan is a lifelong Chicagoan and career advocate for better equity in education, health, and food access. Before co-founding Wood St. Collective, he helped plan Brookfield Zoo's Teen Conservation Leadership Conference (TCLC) in 2016 and 2017, helped organize Printers Row Lit Fest (PRLF) from 2022-2024, fundraised for and coordinated Authors in Schools (AIS) that donated 10,000 books to Chicago Public Schools, and helped facilitate Radical Books for Revolutionary Change (RBRC) that provided 3,000 books to organizers inside prisons.
"No one got their priorities right. The oceans are dying and Texas is rounding people up in camps. It's all hands on deck for advocates to do what we do best and organize, mobilize, tell our story, and build a more just world. Si se puede." Nathan Haefelin, Director of Operations |
